Don’t forget Fathers day.

Our apartments are fantastic for a getaway with family. A Large ensuite Bedroom with Corner Spa gives Mum and Dad privacy and the kids have the Heated Pool, clubroom, oval across the road, Beach ,town... in other words a lot of places to go! Bring the bikes and have a family bike explore. You can store them in our locked secure car park without any worries. The little ones have a flat path to the southern end of the beach and the big ones have a host of other places to go. Our most famous visitor who comes to ride his bike is Justin from Dubbo. We call his beautiful bike Black Beauty and now his son rides with him.

Our other famous Dad quote last year was...

“Great I can watch the football on Fox and look at the Ocean view without moving”

Pencil the Sydney Travelling Film Festival in your diary:  Sep 5th,6th,7th of September 08

Avoca beach Picture theatre is a 900 metre flat walk from the resort. The films represent a cross section of stories, documentaries and art films from local and international groups.

Last years festival was mesmerizing and after every film I wanted to drag friends along as the quality of the film was so high and the stories amazing. This is only the 2nd year for the Sydney Travelling Film Festival to be on the Central Coast.

Although this is the case, the Sydney Travelling Film Festival has been in existence since 1974. Over the past 30 years the Sydney Travelling Film Festival has visited some 50 towns all over Australia and will be revisiting many this year, it brings with it a selection of award winning shorts, features and documentaries screened at the prominent Sydney Film Festival to the regional areas around Australia at the encouragement of the Australia Council.

Its objective is to broaden the range of cinema screened in country and regional areas around Australia, with a program of international features, shorts and documentaries.

Men's Group

O'Horten

Avoca Picture Theatre

The films are:

Son of a Lion - A commendable addition to the growing number of films centered on children in post-9/11 Islamic societies. (Richard Kuipers - Reviewer)
Surf Wise - One need not be a surfing fanatic to find something interesting in SURFWISE, Doug Pray's thought-provoking documentary about the legendary and unconventional Paskowitz family.
Wonderful Town - Takua Pa is a small town in the South of Thailand. Ever since the tsunami, people have lost their jobs and remember better times in the past.
Eternity Man - Arthur Stace found the Lord when he heard the reverend's words 'Eternity, Eternity, I wish that I could sound or shout that word to everyone in the streets of Sydney.
Transylvania - Zingarina arrives in Transylavania, She is not there only to visit this region of Romania but to trace her lover Milan, a musician who has got her pregnant and who left without a word of explanation.
Men’s Group - Sit in with a collection of soul-searching males in the gritty Australian indie "Men's Group."
Up the Yangtzee - Imagine the Grand Canyon turned into a lake.
O’Horten - Norwegian writer-helmer Bent Hamer's fifth feature, tragicomedy "O'Horten," returns to the domestic landscapes, offbeat humanism and stylistic quirks of his earlier work.
